"Ahem!" Princess Carmen cleared her voice, gaining everyone's attention. "I see that everything involving Ernesto Silva is concluded."
As she spoke soldiers and guards from Spain and a few other countries, noticeably most were from Japan, started to surround the area. It was at that moment that I remembered we were still in the middle of the clearing with representatives and rulers from countries all around the world watching my entire come apart and breakdown.
"Take Ernesto Silva into custody. He will stand trial for the crime of attempting to kill a member of the Spanish royal family at a later date!" Princess Carmen ordered the Spanish soldiers. They all replied in the affirmative and moved to grab Loki.
"Wait! No! Princess please! I made a mistake!" My sperm donor cried out as the soldiers circled him and lifted him off his feet.
"You made several mistakes, Ernesto." Chase said with a taunting drawl as he looked at my sperm donor.
I recognized the dark and barely restrained fury in his eyes. I've had that look several times over the last few months. Chase walked around everyone and stood in front of Ernesto then spoke in a language that I recognized as Torapos. I couldn't understand it but remembered hearing it when we were in Tolapo village.
Both my sperm donor and the soldiers restraining him looked confused as he spoke. While I didn't understand the words I understood his tone and his body language. Chase suddenly grabbed Ernesto by his arm where his farm crystal was. Chase's own farm crystal started glowing a dark prismatic effect.
"AAAAAAAARGHHHAAAA!" Ernesto screamed and writhed against the grip of his captors. I started to demand what he was doing when I heard a sound akin to glass shattering.
When Chase moved his hand away from Ernesto, my sperm donor's farm crystal was shattered and he passed out from the pain. The soldiers that were holding Ernesto held him tighter to try and keep him upright while looking at Chase with a terrified expressions.
"When he wakes up, tell him it's only a fraction of the pain he deserves for what he did to Ramone and Alberto." Chase told one of the soldiers, switching back to Universal standard. The soldier nodded nervously and held onto Ernesto tighter, possibly unconsciously.
Chase turned back around to face Bo and I, letting out a sigh and rolled his shoulder like he was stretching it. I was still trying to process the fact that Chase just casually shattered my sperm donor's farm crystal like it was nothing and didn't at all seem to recognize the enormity of that sort of accomplishment.
"Okay! I am officially done with today! I need a bath and some sleep." Chase said.
"And some of your Grandfather's cooking!" Bo added with an excited hop. Chase snapped his fingers and gave two thumbs up.
"Yes! Five platefuls!" Chase exclaimed.
"That actually does sound really good." I admitted.
Chase started to walk towards the King's Glaive with Bo and I flanking him when Princess Carmen blocked his path casually.
"Master Kingston, a moment…" Princess Carmen said.
"I don't want to be a Paragon!" Chase said immediately then tried to walk around the princess but she simply stepped to the side to block his path again.
"I know. I just wanted to warn you about what will happen in the coming months." The princess said. Chase arched a brow then looked back to which I just replied to him with a shrug.
"What do you mean?" Chase asked.
"The seat for Paragon of all splicing is now vacant thanks to you. Since you do not want the title it will remain vacant until someone comes to claim it. In order to claim a Paragon title one must defeat the current holder, in the event that there is no holder, prospecting splicers will have to defeat the one closest to having the title and hold it for two months. Since you defeated the previous holder, you are now the one closest to becoming a Paragon." Princess Carmen explained.
"Oh for fucks sake!" Chase, Bo and I all groaned.
"What suicidal maniac would challenge that monster…" One of the soldiers holding my father whispered.
"His evo destroyed the entire mountain…" Another whispered.
"Nope! Not having more people challenging me out of the blue!" Chase exclaimed then stomped off towards the outer ring of the clearing where the spectators of the entire spectacle were still gathered.
Chase approached the closest splicer, who was a man dressed in a British royal navy uniform and grabbed him by the wrist. Chase dragged the man across the clearing, clearly against his will, and over to Bahamut. Chase then made the officer hit Bahamut with his fist. Bahamut reared his arm back like he'd been severely hurt. Stumbling back a couple steps before collapsing on the ground, his tongue sticking out and knocking down a tree that it slapped against.
"There! This man defeated my strongest evo!" Chase exclaimed then raises his arm up for all to see. "He is now the one closest to becoming the paragon of splicing! So bug him and not me about that challenging bullshit!"
With that Chase spun the man around and pushed him forward a couple feet. I couldn't help but burst out laughing at that, Bo did too. The both of us nearly falling to our knees from laughter at Chase's antics.
"It doesn't quite work like that Master Kingston…" Princess Carmen tried to object but to no avail.
"Sure it does! You never specified how I had to be defeated." Chase argued.
To the princess credit she was about to refute that but paused when she realized that he was right. There was no rules that disputed how someone who was the paragon of splicing had to be defeated apart that a evo had to be involved. Though nobody in their right mind would just willingly give up the right to become a Paragon since it would call their honor as a splicer into question. Not a problem for Chase since he doesn't give a shit.
"Master Kingston these are time honored and sacred traditions!" Princess Carmen protested.
"Didn't stop him from refusing that old bat's Paragon seat when Scotland offered it to him." Bo said.
"You mean The Morgan?" I asked and Bo nodded in response. I groaned and shook my head.
"Enough! Boss has spoken!" Bone-lasher exclaimed, suddenly appearing beside Chase with a flash of lightning. Chase patted Bone-lasher on the head then recalled both him and Bahamut back into his farm crystal.
"I'm tired, I'm hungry, and I need a bath so I'm done!" Chase said then started walking towards the King's Glaive. "Bo! Alberto! We're leaving!"
"Coming! Gargesh!" Bo replied then recalled his Orkand.
"Mújo!" I called out, recalling my own evo.
Bo and I followed after Chase, walking around the stunned and confused princess. Leaving her and the others in attendance to sort out the mess Chase made. Not to mention my sperm donor's fate.
Walking up to the door of the King's Glaive I felt an urge to look back at the my sperm donor. Whether to gloat at the unconscious man one last time or to try and see something in the man that showed he could be redeemed I could not tell. I paused at the open door, fighting an internal struggle against my hopes and wish and my reality.
"Alberto…" Chase called out to me. I looked up and saw him standing in the doorway with a hand outstretched to me. "…let's go man."
I looked at the hand for a moment then grabbed it and allowed him to help pull me up into the mana train.
"Yes Boss…" I replied.

Chase
"….CHASE! CHASE WAKE THE FUCK UP!"
I jolted awake, rolling out of bed and falling to the ground. Two sets of a legs came into view as I sat up and rubbed the back of my head to cut the sting of bumping it on the floor.
"How do you manage to sleep that deeply all the time?!" Iris griped.
Iris stood beside Jane. Both were dressed in their Sho'lajah Artifact Company uniforms and looking down at me with their arms crossed. Whereas I was dressed only in a pair of pajama bottoms and a tank top.
"How do you manage to keep getting in here when I set the security of my car to private?" I retorted and stood up with a groan.
"Is Chase up yet?" Bo yelled up from the bottom of the stairs of my personal sleeper compartment.
"Never mind…" I sighed, getting my answer.
"Hurry up and get dressed. It's the last official day of Evo-cution, our last chance to make a impression." Iris said.
"I don't think that Chase will have a problem with leaving an impression." Jane said, shooting me a sideways glances. I rolled my eyes and stretched.
"What time is it?" I asked.
"Five a.m." Jane replied. I froze and shot both girls a furious look.
"FIVE! Why the fuck am I waking up so early?!" I exclaimed.
"Morning meeting, plus Madilyn wanted to talk to everyone about something." Iris replied.
"So we're just letting anybody call meetings now?" I asked dryly.
"She was very insistent and I think it would be a good idea listen to her." Jane said.
"Fine…" I groaned then shooed both girls towards the stairs. "…Now get out so I can get dressed."
"Nobody wants to see you naked Chase!" Jane exclaimed as her and Iris walked down the steps.
'What the hell could be going on now?' I thought then walked over to the small closet.
"CHASE! HURRY UP! YOUR GRANDFATHER WON'T COOK BREAKFAST UNTIL AFTER THE MEETING!" Bo yelled from the bottom of the stairs.
"I'M COMING! AND STOP MESSING WITH THE SECURITY SETTINGS ON MY MANA TRAIN!" I yelled back down at him.
