Three days after leaving the island, Katie Hades returned. She arrived just after midnight, and it was Lucas Hades who piloted the private plane to bring her back to the island. They had not notified the butler, so the hall was devoid of waiting servants.
She went straight to her brother's room, where the lights were fully on. Upon entering, she saw Fierce Eagle leaning on a chair by the bed, his eyes closed. Katie thought he was asleep. After taking a few steps, however, she saw his eyes suddenly snap open.
Katie paused her steps and watched as the man turned his head their way, then she continued walking forward.
Her gaze remained fixed on the large bed, seeing that her brother's color was good, which brought her some peace of mind, and then she turned to leave.
