Eva's hair was still dripping wet when she returned to Lucas' side. She sat next to him and poked his cheek.
'Like that would actually wake him up.'
She laughed at her own foolishness. Tucking a loose hair behind her ear she leaned down next to Lucas' ear.
"Lucas, wake up."
His ear twitched from her voice. Giggling, she touched his ear. Eva had often wondered if his ears felt different from her own.
While touching her own ear she began to compare the two. Lucas' ears were slightly longer than hers, ending in a tip.
"What are you doing?"
Lucas' calm voice startled Eva. Two strikingly blue eyes were staring up at her questioningly.
Eva blushed deeply. She hid her face behind her hands.
"I was… trying to wake you up!"
That was the original goal she had come back to do. That was right!
Lucas shifted his weight onto his side and reached up to pull Eva's hand away from her face. He pulled her hand down to the opposite side of his head where she had been touching his ear.
