Heyday.
Caroline Edwin carried her suitcase and the phoenix coronet gifted by director Adam Lorna upstairs, placed them in the cabinet, and then lay down to rest after everything was neatly arranged.
She slept until the evening, waking up around six o'clock.
Caroline rubbed her sleepy eyes and shuffled in her slippers to the bathroom, where she turned on the faucet and splashed her face with cold water.
The grogginess somewhat faded. She stepped out of her room and headed downstairs.
In the living room, the Edwins were all gathered together, and Jerel Edwin, usually busy, was also sitting on the couch, shedding his usual aloof demeanor to warmly converse with his family.
Hearing footsteps, Jerel turned to see Caroline descending the stairs and smiled warmly, "Carol, come and sit."
"Okay."
Without refusing, Caroline walked over and casually sat down next to her eldest brother in the available space.
