Landon Brooke fell silent for a moment before looking at him and asking, "What do you plan to do next?"
Xavier Brooke, hearing this, a hint of a smile appeared at the corner of his eyes, "What? You don't despise your own father for being neither human nor ghost?"
"So, the letter you had my father-in-law bring to me last time was about this?"
Seeing that he seemed not to avoid the question, Landon Brooke simply asked.
"You're right, being a kind person who repays evil with kindness is exhausting. I fell into a quagmire just because of a moment of soft-heartedness."
Xavier Brooke took a breath, "Originally I wanted to tell you that there are no good women in this world, but your wife has indeed made me change my view. I've looked into the past between you two, and it has made me even more certain in my heart."
