"Yes," Malik nodded. "I was raised to believe I was Adrian's son. It was only later they revealed to me that I was Torbin's." He frowned.
"They kept it a secret from him?" Sintija asked softly.
"I was conceived before he left to slay the dragon, and born after its death," Malik commented gruffly. "When he sent her into hiding, he did not know I existed. He only told Adrian that he loved her and to hide. So she did, and it was decided it was in my interest to be Adrian's son."
"Interesting," Krista nodded thoughtfully. "There is a change in those who become the Dragon Slayer but it appears it does not truly happen at the moment the dragon is slain but some time after," she gently tapped her chin. "Even Torbin had a hammer pendant too."
