After giving their statement, both Sascha and Askeladd left the place. The wizard who witnessed this watched them go with a slightly amused expression curving his eyes. The reason behind his amusement was something only he knew.
"It was a mistake to let them go." One of the three guards approached and chided in a low voice, he too was watching the couple slowly walk away. It was a long street and thanks to the previous commotion, it was mostly clear.
The wizard raised an eyebrow sarcastically, then replied weakly. "What qualifications do you have to deal with the witch?"
"But you..."
With a shake of his head and a look full of disdain the wizard chided. "When it comes to the Noble Lady who protects the region, it doesn't matter if you are a Blessed One or not, we are all in the same boat." He paused slightly to finish with a distant and meaningful look. "Learn this, if you do not want to become collateral damage, stay out of matters involving the witch and hers."
