"It was... monstrous," he whispered, his voice hoarse. "When I tried to examine that pulse, I found something—no, something found me. It was grotesque, vile… slimy, yet not in a way that should exist. It slithered into my consciousness, writhing, wriggling, suffocating—like a parasite, like an abomination that should have never been. I felt it pressing against my soul, clawing at it, warping reality around me. I knew at that moment—whatever it was, it did not belong in this world. It was... wrong."
